Do you get nervous when your phone or any other electronic devices ring/buzz? Does your heart race when that happens? Coming from a person with introversion tendencies, it was a struggle in recent years. Now that we are more connected to the internet, I slowly transitioned away from all the unnecessary alerts the was causing unrest and hijacks me from what Iβm doing at the moment. I started deleting Facebook mainly because of their privacy practices and then I was more aware of the notification that is bombarding my devices. Β After a few days of doing so, I noticed an improvement in my overall mental health. There is no feeling of dread approaching my phone. I can watch a whole movie or tv show without being interrupted which I forgot how it felt before smartphones. Speaking of mental health, lately, it has been loosely used for anything and everything by everyone just to blame a situation/person or sugar coat a behavior. π ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
